Sanitize Baby Toys

Sanitize Baby Toys - Keep two or three different sets of toys and alternate their cleaning and sanitizing. Most babies have plenty of toys to choose from, so taking them in and out to clean and sanitize won't be a problem.

Put the toys you wish to clean into warm soapy water and let soak for about 5 minutes. Regular dish soap is fine.

Scrub toys after soaking to loosen dirt and grime. Germs can cling to surfaces, so scrubbing is important.

Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residues.

Make a sanitizing solution of ¼ cup of household bleach to one gallon of water. Diluted bleach is considered safe for cleaning children's toys since chlorine evaporates quickly.

One good way to keep baby healthy is to clean and sanitize her toys and pacifiers regularly. It's impossible to keep every germ away from your baby at all times, but sanitizing toys is a great way to begin. Use these simple steps to make your baby's environment a little more germ free. - by eHow
