Make a Dirt Baby
Add a handful of topsoil on top of the grass seed.
Make a knot in the nylon below the topsoil so it forms a ball. This is the head of the dirt baby.
Fill the cup halfway with water.
Science experiments are always fun to do and a great way to provide hands on learning. Your kids are sure to get a kick out of making a dirt baby. As they watch their dirt babies grow "hair," they will be learning about soil and how plants use water and sunlight to grow. - by eHow
