Loom Knit Baby Booties - Choose your yarn. Use a bulky yarn or two stands of worsted weight yarn held together and worked as one strand throughout. Use something very soft, so it is gentle on the baby's feet.
Tie a slip knot in your yarn, leaving a 6-inch tail, and place the knot on the anchor peg on the side of the loom. This is the only peg on the side.

Wrap your working yarn around all 12 pegs, pulling yarn behind and around the front of each peg. Each peg should have one loop of yarn wrapped around.
Wrap each peg again in the same manner, leaving two loops on each peg.
Using your loom tool, pull the bottom loop up and over the top loop of every peg. This is called knitting off, and leaves you with one loop on every peg. This completes row 1.
It is important to keep little feet warm and toasty, and baby booties are a necessity for newborns. Using a loom, it is easy to hand-knit booties for the baby in your life or as gifts. Quick to complete, these booties use only a small amount of yarn. Knit them in several different colors so every outfit has a coordinating pair. There are special baby bootie looms that can be purchased but, if you already own a Knifty Knitter flower loom, you may use that instead. - by eHow
