Keep Baby Pools Clean - Fill your baby pool with as much water as you need the morning your plan to put your baby in it. Let your baby play, and then drain the water out. This is the best option if you don't plan on using much water.
Clean the sides and floor of the baby pool if they begin to feel slimy. You don't have to wait for this to happen though; you can just clean the baby pool once each week. Mix 1 cup of vinegar with 1/2 cup of water. Pour the mixture inside of the baby pool, and use a bristle brush to scrub the floor and walls of the baby pool thoroughly. Then rinse the baby pool out with fresh water.
Keep Baby Pools Clean
Use a small pool sanitizer if you want to keep the water in your baby pool day in and day out. The amount of small pool sanitizer you need depends on how many gallons of water were added to the pool, so read the product label carefully. Place the small pool sanitizer in the baby pool once each day when your baby is done using the pool. This product is registered with the EPA and kills bacteria while controlling algae at the same time.
Baby pools are ideal for toddlers because they allow you to control how much water is placed in the pool. You may just need enough water for the baby to splash or slide around in the pool. If you have a toddler that is old enough to walk around, you may add a few inches of water to the pool. However you intend on using the baby pool, you will need to keep it clean for the health and safety of your little one. - by eHow
