Get a Baby Kitten to Sleep

Get a Baby Kitten to Sleep - Provide your kitten with warmth. Purchase a cat bed for your kitten to sleep in. Your kitten is used to curling up against its mother to get warmth while it is sleeping. If you don't want to spend a significant amount of money on a cat bed, you can use a small box. Cut the top off a small box and place one or two blankets inside to keep the kitten warm.

Place a hot water bottle underneath the blanket to provide extra warmth, so the kitten can be encouraged to sleep. While placing a hot water bottle, make sure your kitten's sleep area is snug. Kittens love to curl up in snug spaces, which persuades them to go to sleep.

Place your kitten's bed in a quiet place. Keeping the kitten's bed away from busy areas encourages the kitten to go to sleep and not wander around the house. When you go to sleep, close your door, so the kitten isn't persuaded to wander in.

Kittens need all the care and nurturing they can get. One of the most important things kittens need when they are developing is sleep. Sleep helps kittens grow into energetic cats. You can ensure your kitten gets the development it needs by providing it with the supplies to get it to sleep. - by eHow
