Scoop the seed out of the avocado using the knife or the tip of your thumb.

Scoop some avocado into a bowl. Mash it with a fork until smooth. You can feed warmed avocado to your baby in its smooth form, for a snack or at mealtime.

Spoon the mashed avocado into a blender or food processor and add formula or juice, such as apple, white grape or pear juice to avocado.

Avocados are one of nature's perfect health foods. They provide 3.5 grams of unsaturated fat per serving, which is valuable for physical growth as well as brain and central nervous system development. Since avocados are healthy, tasty, smooth and easy to mash, it is beneficial for them to be among the first solid foods to be introduced into baby's diet. You can prepare homemade avocado baby food or mix it with juice, depending upon your baby's age. Avocado can be cooked or warmed to your baby's tastes. Add this to my Recipe Box. - by eHow
