Safely Wash Baby Clothes
Put in an entire load of wash in the machine. Use cold water for dark colors, warm water for colors and warm or hot water for lights and whites.
Use the double rinse feature on your machine to make sure that you remove all the detergent residue.
Dry your baby's clothes in the dryer, line dry or on a rack.
Using the wrong type of laundry detergent can cause allergic reactions in babies. To protect your child from these reactions, be sure to use a dye-free and fragrance-free detergent. If you select a detergent especially made for babies, make sure to check the label; not all of these are free of dyes and fragrances. - by eHow
