Clean Baby Bottles With Milk Odor

Clean Baby Bottles With Milk Odor - Fill your kitchen sink with hot water. Add 1 tbsp. of dish soap and the baby bottles. If milk residue is stuck inside, let the bottles soak for 30 minutes in the water.

Put on rubber gloves. Use a bottle brush to brush the inside of each bottle. Wash the outside of the bottles with a clean sponge. Rinse the bottles in hot water.

Fill a 2 qt. pan or bowl with warm water. Armhammer.com suggests adding 4 tbsp. of baking soda to the water. Add the bottles and nipples that need to be deodorized. Leave them soaking overnight.

Remove the bottles from the pot. Rinse the bottles and nipples thoroughly with warm water. Set them upside down (in a dish drainer or on a clean towel) to dry.

Milk turns sour very quickly when it is left at room temperature. Glass baby bottles won't hold onto the odor easily (although the nipples might); plastic bottles tend to absorb odors quickly, leaving the bottle with a foul smell even after normal washing. As a busy parent, it can be easy to forget the half-full bottles of milk in the bottom of the stroller or diaper bag. By the time you find them, the odor can be pretty awful. Fortunately, there is an inexpensive and safe way to clean and remove milk odor from your baby bottles. Does this Spark an idea? - by eHow
