Say Thank You for a Baby Shower Gift

Say Thank You for a Baby Shower Gift - Ask someone at the shower to write down every gift you receive, being as specific as possible, with the gift giver(s) name beside each item.

Ask the hostess to provide you with the addresses she used for mailing shower invitations.

Obtain any additional addresses from friends and/or family.

Buy or make your own thank-you notes. You will find the biggest selection at stationery stores or can visit your local craft store for a card-making kit. Feel free to shop online as well, especially since many of those merchants offer to pre-print your return address.

Start with the salutation of your choice, i.e., "Dear Mrs. Smith" or "Dear Susie." The selection should be based on your relationship with the person.

Every expectant mother looks forward to unwrapping colorful presents filled with tiny clothes, blankets and toys, all of which only make her more anxious to meet her new baby. With each opened box or bag, though, comes the responsibility of properly thanking the gift-giver, a task that can be daunting for a mother feeling the late-term effects of pregnancy and likely overwhelmed with last-minute preparations. With a little organization and a simple "thank-you note formula," however, the process can be a smooth one, leaving you with time to spend organizing the nursery rather than worrying about thank-you notes. - by eHow
