Water baby's breath regularly during the growing season. Adult plants can tolerate some dryness, but do not allow the young plants to dry out. Apply a light dressing of complete plant food in the spring. Baby's breath generally does not have problems.

Baby's breath, also known as gypsophila, is a perennial known for the beautiful tiny white flowers on stems that grow 12 to 18 inches tall. Used in floral arrangements or bouquets, they also make a beautiful addition to flower gardens. Although most people are familiar with the white baby's breath, other varieties produce lilac and pink blossoms. Baby's breath is suitable for USDA zones 3 to 10.
