Click and drag the "Birthday Inferno Birthday Cake" object to a counter or table in your Sim's home.
Age progression occurs automatically in "The Sims 3" virtual life game as the game runs. When two Sims have a child, it starts off as an infant, then ages into a toddler. The frequent feedings, diaper changes and potty training of the infant and toddler stages can be hectic, especially for two working parents, so you may want to get that child out of this high-maintenance stage more quickly than game clock dictates.
