Mix flour and water together to create your homemade plaster. Once the plaster mixture cools enough, knead it the same way you would bread dough to make a smooth dough.

Shape your homemade plaster into a circle, square or heart. You can use a cake pan to help you make the shape that you desire. Once you have a nicely shaped piece of soft plaster, you can imprint baby's hand or foot print directly into the plaster.

Bake your baby's plaster hand or foot print for approximately three hours at 225 degrees F. Bake on a cookie sheet covered by a layer of aluminum foil for best results.

Who doesn't love baby hands and feet? If you want to preserve your baby's tiny fingers and toes, use this simple homemade plaster. With ingredients you already have around your home, you can save those precious fingers for a lifetime. - by eHow
