Use Baby Powder to Control Beach Sand - Take a quick shower after your day of fun at that beach. If a shower isn't available, the baby powder method will still work; however, you will use less baby powder by first removing the excess salt and sand from your body.
Dry off as much as possible and shake the excess sand from towels, clothes, shoes and anywhere sand tends to linger.
Use Baby Powder to Control Beach Sand
Place a small amount of baby powder in the palm of your hand and rub into onto your skin. The baby powder will quickly absorb moisture and the sand will fall away.
Apply a sprinkle of baby powder to your shoes or sandals to remove sand. You might use a soft bristled brush, such as an old paintbrush, to remove sand from the cracks of your shoes or from between your toes.
Sprinkle a light layer of baby powder onto your clothing and beach towels and shake them briskly to remove sand from cloth.
Summer trips to the beach often result in a car, home and body covered in sand that seems to linger until winter. That familiar discomfort of sand between the toes and the sandy trail you leave in your wake can be forgotten forever with a simple trick. The next time you head out for a day at the beach, include a bottle of baby powder in your beach bag. - by eHow
