Make a Baby Kick at 19 Weeks

Make a Baby Kick at 19 Weeks - Relax your body for several minutes, to feel the baby kick. Your movements throughout the day typically keep your baby restful but when your body relaxes, he will move around more. Sit or lie still for 15 to 20 minutes and wait for him to start kicking.

Change position every few minutes, to encourage your baby to move and kick. Sometimes a certain position will coax him to kick you, so try laying on your back or side.

Press gently at different points on your belly, to encourage the baby to kick. This works best, once you have been sitting or lying down for a while and are relaxed.

Listen to different forms of music at fairly high volumes; loud enough for the baby to hear. Many babies react to the sounds of music and kick you in response.

Eat a snack to feel your baby's movement. The rise in blood sugar after eating, may give your baby a temporary rush in adrenaline causing her to kick you. Sugary and sweet treats are especially helpful in getting babies to kick.

At between 16 and 22 weeks, you will begin to feel your baby move around more. These movements will be different from the flutters and gas bubbles you felt in the first trimester. Around your fifth month of pregnancy, your baby begins moving around more often, which includes kicking. If you are in your 19th week and are wanting to feel your baby kick more often -- or are trying to get your partner to feel it with you -- there are a few things you can try to encourage the baby to move. - by eHow
