Once your sim is pregnant there is a little jingle that will play after you try for a baby but if you dont hear this you need to try again. Once you have you need to eat watermelons and not apples to have a baby girl. When you make pancakes they usually are apple but you can buy watermelons at the store and put them in your inventory and eat them. To have a boy you eat apples.
